Privacy Policy

Couch Compass helps you track television shows and video games. We use information to run and improve that experience. We do not sell your personal data.

Information we process

• Account email and authentication records used to sign in and recover access.
• Your TV and game libraries, episode progress, statuses, platforms, ratings, rewatches, release preferences, and recommendation feedback.
• Optional profile details, chosen initials or artwork avatar, friend connections, activity, and sharing preferences. When you enable discoverability, your public profile details may appear in friend search.
• Device push tokens, time zone and alert-time preferences, and delivery records for alerts you request.
• Support reports you send and limited technical diagnostics such as app version, platform, operation, and redacted errors.

How we use it

We use this information to give you account access, sync your library, calculate recommendations, display information you choose to share, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.

Sharing and service providers

Friend sharing is optional. Accepted friends can see only the categories you enable; discoverable profile details may be seen in friend search. We use Supabase for accounts and storage, Expo and platform push services for notifications, and entertainment metadata providers including TMDB and RAWG. Entertainment images may load from their providers. We don't provide your personal data for targeted third-party advertising.

Your choices

You can change sharing settings, remove or block friends, export your Couch Compass data, and permanently delete your account in the app under Settings → Your Data. Some operational backups or security records may remain temporarily where needed for recovery, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted network connections, and database row-level security. Please use a unique password and protect your email and device access.

Children

Couch Compass is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
